Sewing Machine Goddess

Oh Sewing Machine Goddess that looks over all the stitcher's dear sweet machines, here my plea for speedy recovery of my "Bernadette". My Bernina 230 has gone off for repairs! It should take 5-7 days till her return. What, oh what will I do? I am sure that I can borrow my MIL's single stitch or my Janet's machine. Both are lovely machines but they do not handle oilcloth well. I felt so ridiculous for acting like a worried Mamma leaving her baby at the hospital, but I AM really Really REALLY freaked out. With a 49 piece wholesale order due in 9 days, a show this weekend, and several custom pieces. Ok, no time for pity parties... just get to work! I can cutting out the rest while I figure out the machine problem. I guess I could buy a used Bernina so I can use my special feet that I need to use. Boo HOO hoo~

I'm so sorry. - - - - computer driven machines (cars included). You know you can use my wonderful 40 something machine. It's still sitting right where I but it after you lovingly had it cleaned. I know it did not do well on the oil cloth, but you could at least get your cotton items done.

Kellybelly - If you are in a bind, you can always borrow the "still untouched" Baby Lock. Just let me know.

You all are so sweet! I may take you up on the offers! I went and got my MIL's singer streight stitch. (LOVE IT) I will try it out tomorrow. I am taking the day off today, Halloween party tonight at my house, come by if you can!

My story is not nearly as tragic, but I can sympathize. :) The bobbin winder thingy on my Pfaff Creative 1473 (yes, it's really old--I bought it used about 10 yrs ago) came undone. Or rather, the stop had a little piece that got unscrewed and it fell into the machine! I couldn't get it to shake out, and I was winding bobbins by hand. At least I don't do much sewing. But then DH helped me take the machine apart and found the little piece and put it all back together for me. :)
