Birthday fun!

Well, I did it again. I turned 39 for the 4th year running. I know what your thinking, but it's true. Ask my kids they'll tell you. I had a great birthday this year. It started out on Friday night when I got home and found a new lamp in my bedroom--that man of mine really pays attention! Then on Saturday I got these two new books from the kids. (Somehow they ended up on the hubbies Amazon wish list, weird huh?)
For lunch I choose one of the few places that makes the whole family happy, Noodles & Company. I roll with a pretty picky gang. so I love this place. I get good food, and they get plain food. Look at these handy chopstick holders that kept us all very happy while we waited for out food.

"I did it!" How darn cute is this child of mine?
This one looks a little skeptical about the chop sticks actually working... that's my boy, always thinking!
Just in case you didn't understand plain food, its nothing but noodles and salt. The chopsticks did jazz it up, don't you think?
One of the other great reasons I chose Noodle & Co. was that it was in close proximity to Quilting Adventures. I sent Don and the kids to the comic shop so I could buy a little birthday fabric. I am sneaky, aren't I? I just had to go back for another round of fat quarters for more Betty aprons. I love these Robert Kaufman prints.
I didn't see these last week, but what the heck, right? Love me some fruity goodness.

After I met back up with the fam, we headed off to Movieland to see Gnomeo and Juliet in 3D. It was the perfect Saturday afternoon movie. So funny and so darn cute! I have to say it's as good as Shrek and The Incredibles, and I could see them 100 times. Oh wait, I have seen them 100 times. Silly me.
We spent the rest of the night cuddled up watching a Cupcake Wars marathon--it was almost as good as eating real cupcakes.

I love me some shoes!

I want these shoes! I know exactly what my Mother would say "why do you wear such ugly shoes?" Cuz I love them! They seem so period! So dated, ya know? These are like a funky version of a 19th century woman's shoe crossed with a mans oxford!!! Does it get any better?

I have been watching Pride and Prejudice while sewing up a storm. Well I am listening to it! I am in a Jane Austen kind of mood! If you look back at the dresses of that day you will see a very similar silhouette to what you can find for sale at the mall. Very romantic and pregnant looking!

Can you tell that I am stalling? I really have tons of work to do. I have piles of junk to find a home for, my dining room has become unfinished school project palace. Not to mention dinner to make!

Ok, so off to work with my lame self! I will report back with some Christmas products, the ones that had me up for hours last night worrying about. I see now why I am so cranky today, I forgot about my two hours of reading spree. I am reading some silly book about some dumb chick that has no clue her boyfriend is gay! I mean come on! Ok Kelly stop rambling and WORK!

Maybe Colin Firth can get me in to the studio! Sorry Don!

Ballykissangel and Oilcloth Aprons

Boy I like my new roomates computer in our studio! I got to half-watch my most favorite TV show--- Ballykissangel!

My sweet hubby has gotten me the DVD's for birthdays, Valentines Day and Christmas's for the last few years. They are special because 9 years ago we found the show aired on PBS on Saturday nights. We were new parents and missed our date nights. Bally K and take out and a colicy baby became DATE Night! Well anyway having seen todays episodes more than twice I was able to whip through 6 aprons today and almost finish 3 more. Yahoo!

I have added to new oilcloth prints to my collection. I am looking forward to getting a new set of pictures taken of them all. I have learned a few new things about my camera and I want to play with it some more.
