check it out!

You all have to go check out Artsy Mama for some Halloween goodness. She has recently added the Modern June Halloween Banners to her wonderful list of favorite banners. I am honored! Her site is full of great ideas for the spookiest holiday, so go and have some fun. I know I'm inspired--I still need to deck the halls a bit more! Don't worry I'll post pics!

Thank you Kari for the shout out!

Holiday banners by Modern June

Modern June is the home of the original oilcloth banners! We are excited to say we have a few halloween banners to sell on the Etsy site. We had sold out at the Crafty Bastard Show, but don't worry we squeaked out two more! Grab them while you can!

We also are announcing our Christmas Banners, now in small and large. The smaller size has been such a hit at craft shows I decided to sell them on-line as well. Here is the longer banner, look how big it is! Now that is a lot of fun!!!

crafty bastards, a banner show

Can I just say I love this show! What is not to love about a craft show called Crafty Bastards. I love it a lot! Despite bad weather we made out great, did some good shopping and met tons of great peeps. My best show yet!

The top selling item had to be the Modern June Oilcloth Banners. I tell you we just can't make enough of them! Holiday Banners are coming to my Modern June Etsy shop soon, so keep your eyes open for those to be listed soon. I hope to have a few more Halloween banners ASAP. Jennifer is busy cutting the super fab ORANGE LACE oilcloth now. I sold out of the Christmas and Halloween banners this weekend. But don't fret, April has a dozen in the works, 6 are spoken for already (Feathernesters) but there will be plenty to go around!

Trust me there will be loads of goodies for everyone.

party pics!

Our Guest of honor! Nikole and Baby Thea hang out with Kate in the hot-hot-heat! Will someone tell me what I was thinking? A July garden party in Virginia? I blame Dawn for not smacking me in to sense! At 2:55 I was nearing heat stroke just from setting up. The party started at 3:00 and it was all so pretty out side so we went forward. Plus my house was a bit of a mess, typical Kelly piles here and there. Dawn grabbed a broom and told me to grab a tablecloth just in case! Mental note prepare for anything.

The table was, if I may say so myself was so pretty! Funny how things just turn out nicely with out a lot of planning. I just used what I had! Love that.

Adrein took some great photos for me while I did the last minute things inside. I love this picture taken from the Grotto. The umbrella needed banners! next time.

Are you looking at me?

This overexposed photo gives you the feeling of how hot is really was!

We made a run from the heat for cake and presents.
It was Dawn's idea, she is the smart of the two of us!
I wish I knew what we were cracking up over.

Baby kimono from Nicole Lee! LOVE IT!

Happy baby Oliver! Two crafty babies! How lucky are we?
We have two RCM members getting married. I can't wait for those showers!!!
With out the record heat please!

my new favorite spot!

my new favorite spot!, originally uploaded by ModernJune.

Oh man! I love the banners so very much. Ok, I just set this up for the product shots but dang it I want this to be like this every day. All I need is a pool and a margarita and I would be set! So just posted them up on Etsy this afternoon. I have a few of them already to go out! You better buy them quick before I leave them hanging up in my festive backyard!

Now I am off to read my new Martha magazine that came in todays mail. Where is that bartender?

Banner Idea!

Do you all remember those super cool banners that I made out of oilcloth last month? I made them for cupcake queen Courtney and her wonderful shop Sweet Lucinda's. Well check these pics out...she had a great cupcake party and Modern June was invited. Ok just the banners but I would totally go if it weren't 4 states away!

I am making another 4 banners for her courtyard today. Look at this pile of pendent pieces, I am hoping to have extra so I can get them up on Etsy this weekend.
