Country Living Fair - Ohio 2012 Photo Album!

Country Living Fair 2012 ~ Columbus Ohio

Don't we have a terrific location? I love our little spot under the willow tree.

Super cute customer carrying the "Sewing with Oilcloth" tote that she made! Check out the armful of fabric that she's carrying, she's going to be busy sewing!!
Chalk Cloth Land!!

Linwood Ave tinsel heart on a super cute cart! Linwood Ave is one of our consignment vendors. She helps us run the Atlanta booth as well!
How wonderful are these ladies? Check out their t-shirts!! The grabbed up several Linwood Ave. aprons for their scrap-booking group. I just love that!!
We started carrying some enamelware to future our kitschy kitchen vibe!
A peak at our booth. See all of our art smocks and baby bibs? SOLD! I love it!! Kerri is busy making us more and more and more!!
Here's a bunch of cuteness! Dine and Doodle play mats from Lil' B Designs! Awesome chalkboard trays from Joya Jewelry along side our Modern June goodies!!

We sold the heck out of some carts!! I've just the oilcloth shopping cart liners to the shop. These bad girls are fun and handy to have at big shows.
OK!! This was the best moment of the fair!! The lady on the left made special Hey Girl... t-shirts for the her and her friend. (I need one!!!) This is why I love this show to pieces!! It's a big deal to people, it's a destination!!
I bought this for myself from Bloomsbury Loft. I love Judith and her cool loot.
Our busy-busy booth under the willow tree.
This is sad proof that you should NOT leave a perfectly great cake in your tent overnight!! My dear sweet editor, Roxanne, came to the show to shop and brought us a cake. We were very grimy so we decided to save it for breakfast. Well, as you can see it was a midnight snack for the creatures of the night. Lucky coons.  Don't worry we enjoyed cobbler for breakfast instead. : )

Working with...

After a long day of travel (and travel drama) I am here!!! I am in Austin and ready to shop the Country Living Fair today. Today I'll be combing the fair for vintage goodies to rehab with oilcloth, laminated cotton, and chalk cloth.  I'll TWEET my way through the fair, so please follow me on Friday and hep me decide what I should buy up.@modernjune and follow #CLFair.

I thought I would show you what I have to work with, what I brought from home! Bundle #1 is a few fat quarters and two half yard cuts of chalk cloth

Bundle #2 is two yards of oilcloth and some cotton bias.
Bundle #3 is just a bunch of oilcloth scraps.
Bundle #4 is two yards of laminated cotton, some oilcloth bias, a jar of buttons and a lot of ric rac.
Sooo.... What am I going to do with all of this?
Tomorrow I'll fix up my finds on the stage, it'll be my own little trash to treasure show. But wait, there's more, I'll even be raffling away a two of the projects to some lucky winners.

Fair Time!

I am so excited to be attending the first Texas Style Country Living this weekend. You know it'll be big if it's in Texas!! Speaking of big, I have big news... I am going to do a presentation on Saturday at 11:00 and signing books at 12:00. Your coming, right?
So here's what I'm going to do this year, since I won't have a booth I'll spend Friday combing the fair for vintage goodies to rehab with oilcloth, laminated cotton, and chalk cloth. I'll TWEET my way through the fair, so please follow me on Friday and hep me decide what I should buy up.@modernjune and follow #CLFair.
Then on Saturday I'll fix up my finds on the stage, it'll be my own little trash to treasure show. But wait, there's more, I'll even be raffling away a two of the projects to some lucky winners.

It'll be very strange to just go to shop and do a demo, I feel like a princess crafter or something a little less silly. How can I just go and enjoy myself and not be a vendor? We, (Junies and family) thought long and hard about attending the show with all our wares like we've done for the Ohio and Georgia CLFairs. Unfortunately, I just had to say no for this year, 7 months of home reno and life with a teen and a tween just took too much out of me this winter. Basically, my family would have mutinied.

Check out the whole fair event schedule here
Discount advance tickets are on sale on-line until Tuesday 4/24!
Visit countryliving.com/fair for fair videos, photos, & more

...Truly incredible shopping is the hallmark of the fair and it's better than ever this time -- an amazing, huge amount of antiques furniture, industrial and primitives, lots of artists and artisans, and the absolutely biggest selection of the cutest handcrafted jewelry you've ever seen. Trust us you won't find a better fair for mother's day gifts OR furnishing a home or apartment. AND there's lots to do in between shopping too!

See you at the fair or on Twitter this weekend,
Kelly

Country Living Tablecloths

We've got a lot of work ahead of us! Before next months Country Living Fair in Austin, Texas we'll turn these bolts of pretty gingham oilcloth into 72 tablecloths. We'll be making the tablecloths that be used for the fairs two cafe's! How fun is that?
