I don't have to time to chat or to link but I can through some eye candy at ya! I promise to come back and add links and give credit where credit is due.
Hey! Here's a fun idea why don't we have a little contest, leave a comment guessing who's who and what belongs to whom (grammatically correct?) in the following photos! I'll send the person with the most correct answers a pretty half apron!

Kitschy Booths of Love!
I only have a few minutes before I head out for another round of shopping for some new fabric, so I'm giving you a little eye candy to love on!
Look for big things from this super sweet Indie Crafter, Penguin & Fish!
How cute is this booth????
I LOVED THE WALLS, I want them to make this into fabric! Very Modern June, right? Fine Lines Fabric.
I am a very bad blogger, I don't remember the booth name or number. I'll find that out today!
A booth after my own heart! They even crafted the TV facade, super cute and very nice folks at New Leaf Stitches.
Totally cute! Embroidery patterns and fabric by Keri Boyer.
Make Your Day Designs has lovely patterns simple sweet and sophisticated.

Quilt Market, Moda Home!
What's not to love about Moda Home? And how cute are the Moda Home girls? Here is a little sneak peek on some of the items the new modernjune.com website will be carrying in the future. I love the retro repro of it all!
I am so excited about this Eames reproduction with its delightful birds. This was one of the very first vintage aprons that I ever bought, it was a well-loved (ratty and stained). I paid a whopping $3.00 shipped.
Tea Towel Heaven!
I'm all fueled-up on fruit and tea this morning and ready to hit the market for new laminated cottons!!! More later!

A little Santa action is always good!
A must have!

Quilt Market Day One!
Hello from friendly Minneapolis! It's my first day at the International Quilt Market and I am so happy to be here! My day started off at 3:50 am, yikes, why bother going to bed? But the real fun started off with lunch with my wonderful publisher, Roxanne from Wiley. Afterward, we met up with Wiley's marketing guru, and then headed back over to the Market. I spotted Melissa of Yummy Goods fame and ended up scoring a hug, she's so cool!
I have to say that I was just a wee bit overwhelmed by the giant scope of this show. I thought the Buyers Market was a "just a trade show." I am humbled. After taking a look at how big the show was, I had to take a breather and develop a game plan. I thought I could do one half of the show floor this afternoon, but my back gave out of me. Tomorrow, I BUY FABRIC, bolts and bolts of fabulous fabric!!!

A little something for me!
After looking and looking for a super cute white t-shirt in my size, I broke down and started making one myself. I've had a fun time draping some ruffles on a Target T, it's nice using a skill set I don't often get to play with. It's got a ways to go but so far, so fun!

Creative Insight!
I just loved today's Twitterscope! I see this as sage advice, as I have carved out the entire weekend to work on the first five projects for my book. See all the planets have lined up for me, I made sure all the orders would be out of the way and I have a new MacBook Pro (my new baby) to help me stay organized. I have started on several projects already but they need tweeking and the patterns need perfecting. After all, I've got to do ya'll proud!
The light bulbs in your brain begin to flash with creativity today. You feel alive and refreshed, ready to make good use of all the ideas that are coming your way. But turning an inspiration into a concrete plan can be tricky business, so you're inclined now to handle it slowly and deliberately. Nevertheless, don't be overly cautious; respond to the current opportunities by being willing to take a calculated risk.
Thanks for all the love this week, I am so happy to share the BIG NEWS!
xoxox,
Kelly

THE BIG NEWS
I have been keeping a big secret, actually I have been keeping THREE big secrets.
I'll give up the biggest news first. After months of dropping tempting and taunting tidbits I can finally spill the beans... I have a book deal! Modern June and Oilcloth Addict have been given the opportunity to write a book on sewing with Oilcloth. Together with my excellent publisher, Wiley, we will create a book filled with loads of fresh projects using Oilcloth, Chalk Cloth and laminated cotton. I can't tell you how excited I am to fulfill this dream project.
In conjunction with my book, I get to attend the International Quilt Market--after all, a girls gotta do her research! I'll be on the look out for new laminated cottons to use in the book and for the shops. But, that's only half the fun. I also get to meet my publishers for lunch and attend a book release party for three new books that Wiley has released this month. I hope to walk away with a signed copy of Sandi Hendersons new book, Sewing Bits and Pieces: 35 Projects using Fabric Scraps; Anna Marie Horner's latest book, Handmade Beginning: 25 Sewing Projects to Welcome Baby; and Melissa Averino's upcoming book Small Stash Sewing: 24 Projects Using Designer Fat Quarters. I can't believe my good fortune!
But wait, there's more!!! I recently found out that I will be participating in the Country Living Fair in Columbus Ohio, September 24-26, 2010. How cool is that? I will have my first opportunity to combine my two shops under one 10x10 tent where I will sell Modern June goodies and pre-cut oilcloth yardage.
This is all so amazing--2010 is turning out to be a banner year.
