craft lounge tonight!

I totally forgot all about this. Thank goodness Suzanne reminded me this morning!

So here's the plan...

November's craft lounge will be this Monday, from 7:00 pm to 9:00 pm, at Fleur Fabric Boutique. Since the holiday season is fast approaching we're getting a jump on handmade holiday cards (greeting cards, invitations, place cards, etc.). Techniques on how to incorporate fabric, yarn, and ribbon to your cards with fusible webbing and even sewing will be discussed and demonstrated. I'm into recycling last years cards into new cards to give away this year, and looking for more ideas--so if upcycling is your thing, come out and swap ideas!

As always, you are welcome to bring whatever you want to work on if card making isn't your thing. Bring your goods and we'll see you tomorrow!

This Monday at Fleur Fabric Boutique, we all will be learning to crochet. If you are an experienced crocheter, please come on out and help us learn! As always, if crochet is not your thing, feel free to bring along whatever craft you'd like. The event is free and gets underway at 7:00 pm. See you there!

July Craft Lounge

Come one, come all! Tomorrow's RCM Craft Lounge will be held at the Northside Grill, see map for directions! This month, the project is "Button Flower Broaches." We will have scraps and buttons galore! Please bring some scissors, needles, and your creativity. The fun starts at 7:00 PM -- we have two huge booths reserved. FYI... they make a great Cuban and wonderful Margaritas!

Those who want to give needle-felting a try, please bring a large clean new household sponge to work on so you don't stab the table (or yourself).

Please put your name on your supplies to avoid mix-ups.

Sorry for the horribly last minute reminder! I totally forgot to post this last week, come if you can!

Join the Richmond Craft Mafia for another Craft Lounge tomorrow night from 7 - 9 pm at The Camel.

Ever wanted to try needle felting? Have the supplies but don't know how to get started felting? Bring your stuff and come out and join us! We will have some simple projects and basic supplies to get you felting in no time. As always, if needle felting isn't your thing, you can BYOC (bring your own craft) and just come hang out with some creative crafty peeps for awhile.

shrinky dinks fun fest!

OH what fun it was! Thanks to Deanna and Mary Ellen for their efforts in getting this thing off the ground... our first CRAFT LOUNGE was a huge success. Everyone was doodling, and shrinking, and dinking -- it was crazy I tell ya. A big shout out to The Camel for allowing us the space to be crafty! Craft, good food, and beer -- does it get better than that? Also, a big "thank you" to those who came out to join us! Mark you calendar for the first Monday of next month for more crafty lounging!
