This is the "What? You forgot Mother's Day? Really??" face. I know I don't want to see this face. Mother's Day is the weekend and Momma expects something fabulous and we've got ya covered! Order any of our ready to ship products by Wednesday and we will happily wrap it up pretty and send it right to her via Priority Mail.
Man, I am really looking forward to fall! I have some new goodies in the works that I can't wait to show you all. In the mean time, I have a new peck of owls that are ready for fall.
Grab them in different colors, yellow, orange and brown gingham tummies are available! The Hooty-Woo Owl Oilcloth tote also comes lined and unlined.
I just love making these totes, look at the pile of beaks, they just crack me up.
While I can't break out a sweater, jacket or my favorite jeans yet I can change my tote! I can't wait to say goodbye to Summer and hello Autumn!
Modern June Market Totes, Black Istanbul and Red Fruity, are fully lined and perfect for everyday, picnics and the pool. Oh yeah, and the farmers market!
How about this bunch of Shopper totes? Bright and perfect for the summer!
The Shopper are taller and unlined, they make an economical alternative to our original Market Tote. Pretty and practical!
Modern June has a special bottom liner in all our oilcloth totes for added strength and stability.
How about the cute newbies? You know I love-love-love to applique with oilcloth! These are really fun and extra special--- Cherries and Squirrels!!!
And last but not least a fun new twist on The Shopper, and my ode to rick rack! I really want one of the red fruity totes for myself, but the yellow poppy tote would do as well. Both of these oilcloths are old favorites of mine!
I am so proud of my latest bag! The Hooty-Woo! How cute is this little guy? He was inspired by the cute print that my friend Erica gave me, all four of her Tree Top Owls Digital Prints are available on Etsy at Beesknees Studio! This little family lives on my studio wall and watches over me in the wee hours of the night. When I saw Erica this week she recognized the owl right away, but don't worry I have her full permission to use her images. She was game for a trade!!! Bag for permission! Love that barter system!
On Sunday I had a ton of work to do but I not motivated to do any of it. When I get burnt out I have to make something new, totally new and original!
This one is mine I have been "testing" it out! I have to say I have gotten Kudos from someone everyday this week! It is a hit. For now I am taking orders for this fab new bag! The delivery date for the first 5 bags will be October 27th!
How cool is this? Last week I had to lug all of our party stuff to the pool. I didn't bring along an ice bucket but I did come up with a great solution. After some quick thinking, a trip to the ice machine and I was all set. I love my oilcloth totes!
After a wonderful review and market testing by me best neighbor Janet I have listed the new SHOPPER Tote on Etsy this morning!
Here is what Janet had to say about her new oilcloth shopping bag, THE SHOPPER!
Used the gorgous black & white print (don't know the name of the pattern) for a pick-up trip to Ukrops. It held a carton of Edy's, two frozen orange juice, two cartons of grape tomatoes, one carton of blueberries, 2 oranges, 4 tangerines, l lemon, 6 bananas and loaf of french bread. Oh and a 4pk of bagles. Who knew so much would fit! And the handles didn't fall off like would happen with all of that in our lovely supermarket's paper bags. Can't wait to use it this summer for the pool and my Thurs. trips to the farmer's market. Thanks again for the gift.J.
It has come to attention that I have forgotten all about my Oilcloth Totes. The Market Tote line needs to be photographed again, I only half decent images of the Roses Oilcloth so that is the only one listed. I know I should have made up a new batch first and gotten them back up on the site. But you know me I like the thrill of a new product to get me going. First I had to create something new I am calling it the "Shopper".
The Shopper is inspired by the cheapie cloth bag that our local grocery store carries. I hated their fabric that those are made out of and I really don't want their name plastered all over life. I think this might have been Maddies idea to make these up or was it my friend Angie, I can't remember now. It was probably both of them.
So here they are "The Modern June Shopper Bag". I will list them soon. I love them all in a row, I can't wait to go shopping with them. This first batch is to be part gift and partly for me. I always use my items so I can tweak anything that doesn't work. I hope you all like them as much as I do!
